Resurrection Rolls

I am posting this for Cheri.  It is an Easter morning tradition that my sweet daughter-in-law has established with my grandsons.   They'll be at my house for Easter this year so I'm getting the ingredients together to celebrate His resurrection with them.  What a great illustration for them to see.

Blessing to you,
Mimi Pam

Resurrection Rolls

Preheat over to 350

Ingredients: Crescent rolls, melted butter, large marshmallows, cinnamon, and sugar.

  1. Give each child a triangle of crescent rolls - represents the cloth Jesus was wrapped in.
  2. Let each child dip a marshmallow in melted butter - represents oil of embalming.
  3. Dip the marshmallow in cinnamon and sugar mixed together - represents the spices used to anoint the His body.
  4. Bring three sides of the crescent roll together and seal the marshmallows inside.
  5. Place in oven for 10-12 minutes - represents the tomb.
  6. Let cool.  When children open the rolls, it is empty - just as the grave was because HE IS RISEN!
