I am posting this for Cheri. It is an Easter morning tradition that my sweet daughter-in-law has established with my grandsons. They'll be at my house for Easter this year so I'm getting the ingredients together to celebrate His resurrection with them. What a great illustration for them to see.
Blessing to you,
Mimi Pam
Resurrection Rolls
Ingredients: Crescent rolls, melted butter, large marshmallows, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Give each child a triangle of crescent rolls - represents the cloth Jesus was wrapped in.
- Let each child dip a marshmallow in melted butter - represents oil of embalming.
- Dip the marshmallow in cinnamon and sugar mixed together - represents the spices used to anoint the His body.
- Bring three sides of the crescent roll together and seal the marshmallows inside.
- Place in oven for 10-12 minutes - represents the tomb.
- Let cool. When children open the rolls, it is empty - just as the grave was because HE IS RISEN!
